Two Lamech's are introduced in the book of Genesis: one is a descendant of Cain and the other a descendant of Seth. Lamech, descendant of Cain, is given a much longer description than Lamech, descendant of Seth, but it is obviously that have drastically different personalities.

The Two Lamechs

Lamech: Descendant of Cain

Lamech the son of Methusael is a descendant of Cain. He is the first man to take two wives (Adah and Zillah). Like Cain, Lamech is a murderer. For some reason Lamech thinks that if Cain was to be avenged for killing his brother, Lamech should be avenged even more so. Lamech has 3 sons—Jabal, Jubal, and Tubal-cain—and one daughter, Naamah.

I love reading the Word of God. With prayer God's Word reveals so much: from comfort to temperance, from perspective to affirmation. Digging into the depths of the Word, cross-referencing history, language and time differences, is a passion of mine. In March of 2015 I decided to go back through the Bible doing an in depth study on each section I read. Eventually I decided to share my journal of notes as I partake in this journey. I hope you are bless by God and inspired to pursue a deeper relationship with Him.
