People in Genesis

This history, origins, and contents of Genesis are examined.

Introduction

Unlike the other books of law, Genesis covers a wide span of time and thus focuses on several different historical figures. Since there are so many, I created a separate post to list them so that it would not clutter the Genesis Overview. Some of the Bible's most famous people are introduced in Genesis. From Adam to Noah, and from Abraham to Jacob, Genesis sets up the foundation of nations and peoples. Conflicts between those nations usually stem from something that happened between the people mentioned below. I'm working on detailed posts for the major players, but in the mean time, I've pieced together small snippets about each person.

I love reading the Word of God. With prayer God's Word reveals so much: from comfort to temperance, from perspective to affirmation. Digging into the depths of the Word, cross-referencing history, language and time differences, is a passion of mine. In March of 2015 I decided to go back through the Bible doing an in depth study on each section I read. Eventually I decided to share my journal of notes as I partake in this journey. I hope you are bless by God and inspired to pursue a deeper relationship with Him.
